Privacy Policy

Sayleaf is a desktop application for turning written text into audio. It does not require an account or provide cloud synchronization.

Data on your device

The application stores your article text, draft titles, voice settings, generated audio, and app preferences in a local application folder on your device. MP3 files that you export are copied to the folder you choose. You can remove saved articles and audio from the app's library.

Speech requests

When you preview a voice or generate narration, Sayleaf sends the text needed for that request and your chosen voice settings to an online speech service. An internet connection is required. The service may process request data under its own privacy terms. Sayleaf does not operate that service or control its retention practices.

Information we collect

Sayleaf does not ask for account details, does not run analytics in the app, and does not upload your local library for synchronization. If you email support, your message and email address are used to respond to you.

Your choices

You can edit or delete articles in the library, clear local history in Preferences, or choose where exported MP3 files are saved. Deleting an article in Sayleaf does not delete copies you have exported elsewhere.
